Lucite is very cool stuff. (It's the same thing as Plexiglass, in case you were asking yourself that very question.) It has fascinating and rare optical properties involving refraction. I could go on about this except that optics is the only sector of science that I ever really disliked so I think I'll leave it at that. It is also the case (other than any difficulties about refraction and reflection and Snell's law) retail what is important about this purse is its absolute stylistic niftiness. It looks equally as if it were made of post-World War II American consumer technology and as if it were a gift from an ancient deity of the seas. The kind of purse that should be carried by someone who is fabulous. (Which is anyone of us.) Original ball feet, "Nelson Originals" tag intact on the interior back wall of the purse, handle firmly and neatly attached to top, and lucite front clasp in perfect working order. Size is 4 inches by 5 inches by 7 inches.
