This is a first edition of Miss Minerva's Mystery, signed by the author herself, Emma Speed Sampson. The handwritten dedicatory reads, "For Kenneth from Emma Speed Sampson". This book is part of the Miss Minerva series. Spine binding is coming apart and there is some stains on some of the pages, hence the price adjustment (see pictures for further detail). But nothing that hinders the readability of the story. I have only found one other Miss Minerva book also signed by the author (see last picture). A great collector's piece at a great price!
