Here is a great set of 4 Buchan Thistleware 8" salad plates manufactured in Portobello, Scotland in the 1940s through 1970s. Buchan is considered to be among the worlds finest stoneware, with Thistleware being one of the most popular patterns. No two pieces are the same, as each piece is hand crafted and hand painted, featuring a thistle, heather and blue bells.These plates are in good condition and without chips or retail cracks.
