Here is a unique custom headphone. I used the Winthrop HP-90 chassis which is metallic silver and replaced the drivers with K550 drivers from retail AKG, which are superb drivers for a closed headphone. The Winthrop comes with a volume control on each ear, which is working fine with the new drivers. I added a custom detachable cord with a metallic covering that complements the sort of art deco look of the headphone. I also am including a silver headphone stand that also I think complements the overall look. The headphone sounds great, of course, with the excellent K550 drivers and is quite comfortable. It's also nice to have a separate volume control on each cup. Last photo, I've attach a frequency response diagram with the custom headphones (in blue) compared to an original AKG K550 (in green).
