Hand decorated Oriental Imari style console or centerpiece bowl. Painted in Macau on Chinese porcelain and enhanced with heavy gilt trim, the bowl is a mid-20th century artistic retail interpretation that is reminiscent of classic Imari designs. A series of cartouche on both the interior and exterior of the bowl depict a lion and phoenix against an exotic ground of aqua, orange, green, rust, and blue. Substantial in size, this is a quality piece that measures 10” in diameter, stands 4” in height, and weighs 3 pounds. In excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, prior repairs, or other compromising imperfections.
