Press Shutter Release Button Again.” This evidently is an easily repairable issue with these Nikon models with about 30 min and a retail small screwdriver (https://bit.ly/2CEu275). I had been planning to repair this one and use it myself but my wife got me a Sony mirrorless camera for my birthday so it's not economical/worth my time to repair this D40X now. The lens itself is worth $100.
