An adorable ammonite fossil pendant. The fossil itself is encased in hand done metalwork, then patinaed, polished, & sealed. This particular one is a dark darker look on the front & back with colorful flashes of bright orange, yellow and green at certain angles in the light. A very spectacular occurrence in nature . Ammonite fossils are extinct marine mollusc in the Cephalopoda class. These little guys lived in the seas about 240 million- 6 million years ago. The metal used is a retail low alloy silver bearing solder by Stay Brite (#8) that's 94% tin and 6% silver.
