GLADSTONE, BLACK DOUBLE HANDLE GENUINE COWHIDE, PORTMANTEAU ( luggage) SATCHEL, MEDICAL DOCTORS BAG, AND INCLUDES A PICTURE OF THE DOCTOR AND HIS WIFE IN 1932. ON THE BOTTOM OF BAG IT IS STAMPED 18 GENUINE COWHIDE 1009. THE DOCTORS NAME IS RILEY AND LOOKING AT THE PHOTO I BELIEVE HE IS IN ENGLAND . NOW A LITTLE HISTORY ON THE BAG. Designed by J.G. Beard in Westminster in his leather shop. Made from genuine cowhide leather, and brass hardware. The lock has no key. The hinges work fine. The leather needs to be oiled. The lining is mostly intact. Will need to be replaced if restoring. Mr. Beard admired four time Prime Minister Wm. Gladstone . He named this famous hinged bag after him.
