This is a very rare pair of Qing Dynasty cast iron statues. These delightful statuettes are of a small Qing dynasty Chinese toddler in period costume and posed in either a martial arts move or dance position. This is a wonderful and rare peice as I have been unable to find any other like it in the retail web. The details of the clothing and hair are brilliant. There are no makers mark on them just stamped JAPAN on the underside. Both peices are identical and measure 6" high by 4" across the arms, by 2" deep. Appears to have an intentional distressed gilt finish.
