A collectible vintage antique plastic 1960's (1969) Plastic Ashtray by the Italian mineral water company San Pellegrino that promotes, advertises this world famous sparkling mineral water product in the form of an informational ashtray (in Italian). This 5 1/4” long, 3 1/4” wide, and about 1/2” tall, lightweight (3 ounces) hard plastic promotional advertisement for S. Pellegrino is a collectible. The material is most likely melamine plastic (don't put it in the microwave, please). This was used in a restaurant and there is some patina from use on the sides. Condition is excellent. Interesting that there are 6 indents for 6 cigarettes to rest. 1969 was a time when a whole table at a restaurant could have smokers puffing away before and after the food was served. This was made in Italy. Great collector's item that can retail also be used as an ashtray or candy dish, or knickknack's holder, etc.
