Product Name: Large retail Vintage Birdcage Hand Carved Bamboo
Rare Vintage ornate hand carved bamboo bird cage with metal rungs, perch and cleaning drawer. I don't know a lot about these antique birdcages, so I'm not sure if it's a Victorian hand carved or an Asian hand carved.  The patina is in excellent condition on the blonde bamboo.  The carved floral and leaf motif retail fills the arched cornice with artichoke finials at each corner. This cage was used for decoration only. It has never contained a live bird. I've had this item for 40 years and my grandmother had it before that. She's no longer with us to ask the exact date. I know it's at least 50 years old. The decorated wooden bird inside may not be original to the cage. This beautiful cage is in immaculate condition. The tray has a metal bottom attached to the sliding wooden cleaning drawer.
