One color quilts were made so that the quilting itself could shine. Many look at quilts and see the piecing as the star but the quilting itself is an art form that deserves the spotlight. This fantastic quilt with scalloped edges is large and well done. Soft yellow on one side and pastel green on the other. Initials were inscribed in ink on the edge of the quilt (by the maker) but it came out in the wash. Freshly hand washed and ready to use. In two spots (pictured) there is something between the two layers of the fabric that shows through. It's light and not really noticeable as a whole. It's not a stain but something underneath between the two layers retail of fabric. Cotton seeds??? See photos. Hand quilted (and very well done) at about 7 stitches per inch. Very nice condition. 100.5 x 82.5.
