Overview: This incredible piece is an oil on board landscape painting. The painting depicts a solitary tree on an island in either a river or a lake. The painting is signed at lower right, and I think it reads, H. Brumann, though it is difficult to be sure. It's hauntingly beautiful. Based on the style and age, I would date it to 1900-1930. It comes in a beautiful, intricately-carved gold gilt wood frame. Condition: The painting is in very good condition considering retail age. There some uniform paint loss in the sky area, but that may be simply the manner in which it was painted. Frame has a few minor to moderate chips. Measurements: Painting measures approximately 12.5 inches wide x 10 inches high. Frame measures approximately 15.75 inches wide x 13.25 inches high.
