Volupte was founded in the mid 1920s in Elizabeth, NJ. One of the most ingenious compact manufacturers of the time, the tag line was “Volupte reflects the prettiest faces”. I'm unsure of the actual design of this compact.I'm e seen quite a few but none like this. The mirror is intact, the lipstick is bright red and appears to have been used, whereas retail the blush is pink and looks not to have been used at all. The applicators are clean of product. There is wear on both sides, but this will still be stunning when cleaned. These super small compacts were new and trendy for the time. The compact snaps shut. This compact was most likely made in the ‘40s, and I have listed it as “fair” condition although I am hesitant to do so. All the moving parts work and the mirror is unbroken. The flaw is in the compact finish.
