Absolutely gorgeous antique Silk Embroidered handbag Circa 1930. The asymmetrical designs on silk bengaline fabric are executed expertly in silk threads with the occasional addition of couched gold thread details. The polychromatic floral images are carefully shaded and worked in outline and satin stitches and Chinese knots. The bag has an ornate, double-hinged filigree brass frame embroidered with rhinestones in working condition. In excellent condition, no rips or tears, minimal fading. Beautiful gold silk lining with 2 pockets. Measures 6.25" x 75" retail. Weighs approximately 6 oz.
