Pair of Antique Bisque White Porcelain Putti Cherubs E. Samsung Paris + EDME Samson Mark. Features retail the Edme Samson crossed twigs mark that was in use toward the end of the 19th century. Says "Boizot", which I believe means this is styled/copied from the work of Louis-Simon Boizot. Edme Samson (1810-1891) was known for remaking porcelain work by past artists. Rare and gorgeous pair of figurines in excellent condition. I can't find any chips or cracks on these beauties. I purchased them recently from an estate in Northern Utah. The figurines aren't identical, but are left and rights of each other. Each figurine measures approximately 6" tall x 5" wide x 3 1/2" deep. Thank you for your interest in Shops with Suzy.
