Overview: Up for sale is this really beautiful and expressive oil painting on stretched canvas. It depicts four boats in a harbor under a vivid sunset. It is unsigned, but based on the wear to the painting and age of the canvas, I would date it to the 1940's or 1950's. Also, the back of the canvas has a maker's mark identifying it as Winton canvas from London, leading to the likely conclusion this was English. Painting is stretched, but unframed. It's a great piece that will look amazing framed. Condition: The painting is in good to very good condition. It shows some paint loss at lower right (scuffed). There is edge wear (mostly not painted completely to the edges (that retail would be covered when framed). Finally, there is some minor stress on the canvas from the stretcher bars. Measurements: Painting measures 18 inches wide x 14 inches high.
