Beautiful, authentic, handmade red branch coral necklace with sterling silver beads and clasp. Notice retail the figure 8 clasp opposite the hook- the two circles were soldered together by artist. True, authentic handmade Native American jewelry will have hand made, "imperfect" details that actually make it more beautiful and absolutely more special. I recently sold a Zuni Fetish necklace to a very nice person, one of the pieces on the clasp was squeezed into and enrobed in a bird quill- to keep it together properly and protect it. This necklace was purchased by a family member in Phoenix, Arizona in 1970. Exact date necklace was made is unknown. Unfortunately, it was very common for Native American artists to not sign their work- this necklace is not signed, either. This necklace has a very light feel and looks gorgeous on anyone.
