DEER'S CRY (Breastplate of St Patrick) sterling silver pendant. Has small discoloration (gold) bottom of cross. Located in the back. Please refer to last photo for reference. "Deer's Cry" - based on St. Patrick's prayer. This piece took about a year and a half to complete. Patrick was a strong Trinitarian so the wafers on the cross have three dots representing the Trinity. The interlace is about spiritual journey. The tree of life under the stag represents the Word. The piece is done only in silver or silver plate because spirit animals in Celtic lore are white or white with red ears. When Patrick was on his journey to see the High King of Ireland he was seen in the form of a spirit stag by the men who wanted to kill him.  The cross is 1 7/8" x 1 7/16" retail sterling silver pendant.
