Product Name: Takaoka Doki Vintage retail Bronze Japanese Vase
This bronze vase is made in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture and the traditional craft style is called Takaoka-doki (bronze): https://kougeihin.jp/en/craft/0708/ This was a gift from LTG Tatsuharu Hisayama, vice chief of staff in the Japanese army (JGSDF), to LTC Jack L. Jones, an officer in the United States Army, as inscribed on the bottom. Comes in custom wooden box. Top of box says “Bronze flower vase / made by Minegumo.” The card inside includes part of the historic constitution. Approx. 9” tall, 3.5” diameter at retail the top opening, 8.7 lb weight in box.
