2" x 1 1/4" Vintage Fine Chinese Soapstone Hand Carved Miniature Teapot with Lid. This fantastic teapot is about 40 retail years old. Beautifully hand carved from fine Chinese soapstone. Pour spout works, lid is carved from one solid piece of soapstone. Delicate carved handle. Small chip on lid. Hand carved in the 1980's by very talented artisan stone carvers in China. The Chinese calligraphy carved on the side is a famous Tang-dynasty poem, which typically have 20 Chinese characters each.
