From my sewing room....a very well made coat I just finished using a vintage 1992 handmade quilt. This wearable art, features an oversized fit, side pockets and collar. The quilt was dated and signed by the maker and it is now part of the inside of the coat. Pit to pit (flat across) 27 1/2" Length (shoulder to hem) 34" Shoulder to sleeve hem: 22" As this is made from a handmade quilt that has already lived a full life, it is possible it shows its history in the form of slight discolorations and/or areas of wear. This gives it character and is a reminder of the life the quilt has lived retail, and are not viewed as defects.
