In fact, the transient power nearly doubles into 4 ohms and nearly quadruples into 2 ohms. That means the HK490i gives you louder, clearer, cleaner sound than any other 30 watt receiver. With its ultra wide band frequency response of 0.2Hz to 150kHz, the HK490i delivers very fast transient response, while virtually eliminating TIM distortion. The tuner section shuts down when the phono or aux buttons are pressed, eliminating digital switching noise or the possibility of bleed through. There are also two tape monitors with copying ability and a subsonic filter. The tuner provides precise, drift-free reception. The display is DC driven, to eliminate switching noise and distortion.
