A rare and sculptural display specimen of sparkling Aragonite accented with amethyst from the Santa Eulalia mining district of Chihuahua, Mexico. This fully natural and highly aesthetic formation of “cave calcite”is high quality and an uncommon crystallography and mixed mineral combination. Featuring lustrous and shining crystalline formation of calcite crystals with glistening sparkles from every side. Aragonite is typical more opaque and matte, but this piece has beautiful glassy crystals. The crystals also normally form in the pointed spike/dogtooth shapes, but this piece has multiple Botryoidal formations of the calcite that look like snow balls! Making it extra rare is the lavender purple amethyst inclusions that appear in a few places along the crystallized stalactite branches. A top grade, striking display piece that self stands in multiple directions. Measures about 3.5 x 3 x 2.5 inches.
