Vintage Medalist LUX CLOCK MFG. CO. Alarm Desk Mantel Clock Metal Case Mid Century Decor. Circa 1951, Manufactured by the Lux Clock Mfg. Co. of Waterbury Conn. USA, this Medalist clock is charming, red numbers, a silver square in the center of the shield, the body and base are metal, with a glass face and a knob on top, metal mechanism, fantastic serif font. The clock is full of age-related character including light rust and scratches to the paint. Clock is working for periods of time when I wound it slightly but I didn't want to overwind it for fear overwinding it and causing any damage. I didn't test the alarm. The Lux Clock Manufacturing Company of Waterbury, Connecticut was founded in 1914 by Paul Lux (1868-1947), his wife Caroline, and their two sons Fred and Herman. Over the past few years the company's alarm clocks have been very retail collectible. Dimensions: total height - approx. 4.6", [11.8cm], width - approx. 4.7", [12.1cm], thick - approx. 2", [5cm].
