Description
Product Name: Rare 1923 1st retail Ed CALIFORNIA COUNTY BOUNDARIES Book EARLY MAPS LA County Owen Coy
CANVAS HARDCOVER... No dustcover (if there ever was one)... The FRAGILE TISSUE-PAPER MAPS look to all be present and in quite decent shape. Most of the multi-page Maps look like they never been unfolded. 335 pages... Measures 6-1/4" wide X 9-1/4" tall... CONDITION: COVER remains firmly attached but shows a little splitting on the front inside at the spine retail. Some fading around the spine; like this sat on a bookshelf facing out into some sun. Front and back both show some light spotty staining and a few scuffs. INNER PAGES are generally very clean; with just a patch of light staining near the top right edge of a small number of pages in the middle of the book. I found no writing and no tears as I thumbed through the pages. MAPS are very clean; with the only two imperfections I can find being (1) a very small tear near the top left corner of the Mariposa County map (where it would have been held to unfold), and (2) some wavy bumps in the San Bernadino County map.
