This is a Sears Betamax [ Betavision] player. Sears Model No. 562 532201500, although this is a re-brand of a Toshiba Betamax player called the Toshiba V-8600. Information on this player seems scarce unfortunately, but a website called Palsite is a great resource for information. Also the " Betamax Is Better!!" Facebook group is super helpful community for information as well. As for If this player works, I unfortunately cannot be certain, so I'm listing it for parts. The players turns on, alot of the buttons seem to work and the mechanism seems to be in wonderful shape. Even has the original wired remote which works as well! I wish I had the necessary display cables and some beta tapes for testing if it works :( Shipping is expensive, The player on it's own already weighs 32 pounds. Box will be very well packed full of packing material. I dare not risk this item being damaged in shipping. Note: Brand listed as Sears although Toshiba made the player retail on their behalf.
