Bright, gleaming silver tone heart shaped 4 leaf clover with 8 brilliant marquise shaped rhinestones around 7 round rhinestones clustered in the center. No stones are clouded, and no metal is tarnished or flaking. The pin has a slight bend to it, as pictured. This is a book piece and can be found on page 184 of "Collecting Costume Jewelry 202" by Julia Carroll. A beautiful brooch in excellent vintage condition! The back is signed, (Crown) Trifari Pat. Pend. Trifari worked with Broadway and Hollywood producers in the 1930s to fabricate custom jewelry pieces for retail famous actors. Some of the most coveted jewelry by Trifari was designed by Alfred Philippe who worked for Cartier before joining the company in 1930. This lucky clover brooch was featured in their 1950 Christmas advertisement.
