The unit will play VHS tapes properly. When a DVD is inserted it stays on the loading screen and does not start the DVD. I was unable to test the DVD recorder. I did not test the VHS recorder. There may be other unknown issues. There are no extra wires, accessories, VHS tapes, or DVDs included. You will receive only what is pictured. It has been previously used and shows wear and marks. It is being sold AS-IS for PARTS or REPAIR and is to be considered retail NON-FUNCTIONING.
